The author

Stéphane Vial, Ph.D., is a Full Professor at the School of Design of the Université du Québec à Montréal, a regular researcher at the IUSMM Research Centre and the founder of Mentallys Inc.

He holds a PhD in philosophy, a degree in clinical psychology and a habilitation to supervise research in design, and teaches, among other things, the use of artificial intelligence in research, writing and creative work.

The author of several books, including Being and the Screen: How the Digital Changes Perception (MIT Press), he explores how technologies transform our ways of perceiving, thinking and acting.
